Useful Information

Save the Date – these cards are designed to ensure that your guests are aware of your planned wedding date in plenty of time so the date is kept free. It is a personal choice as to how early you wish to send these. Magnets can be attached to the reverse of the Save the Date so your guests can attach them to their fridge so no excuses for forgetting!

Invitations – these speak for themselves in that they are invitations to your guests to attend your wedding either for the ceremony and reception or the evening reception alone. You may also like to include additional items in your invitations for example, directions to the venue(s), a wedding list or possibly a list of recommended accommodation for those travelling any distance. You should consider sending these out at least 8-12 weeks before your special day.

RSVP – guests are sometimes slow in responding to invitations and the RSVP is designed to assist those guests in responding as quickly as possible by providing not only the response card itself but a reply addressed envelope for their use. You may wish to consider placing a stamp on the envelope to assist them even further. These are sent out with your invitations.

Order of Service/Ceremony – the Order of Service are usually distributed by your ushers as the guests arrive at your ceremony venue. They set out the order the service will take and assist the guests in following the service. Don’t forget to order a few extra copies for those conducting the ceremony.

Menu – these are cards which show your chosen menu. We suggest you have a few of these per table.

Table Plan – it is usual that each table will be allocated either a table number or table name. The table plan is designed so your guests can easily see at which table they are seated before they enter the room.

Table Number/Table Name – these are numbers/names which appear on the appropriate table to guide your guests to the correct table as shown on the table plan. They are usually at a level which makes them easy to see.

Place cards – these are individual cards which show the name of each individual guest to guide them to their correct seats. These also create a great keepsake for your guests.

Favours/bonbonnieres - these were traditionally made with five sugared almonds given to your guests representing health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. These are now somewhat updated and can include anything from chocolates, mints or even lottery tickets. The traditional net bonbonnieres however continue to remain popular.

Thank You – these are cards which you can send to your guests thanking them for attending your special day or for gifts received which continue to carry through the theme of your stationery.
